Sanders: The irony is that the proper criticism of communism is that the Soviet Union was an authoritarian society.  And then you’ve got the most authoritarian president in the history of this country. So I suppose when he says, “I’d be a great communist,” yeah, I think there’s some truth to that

Historians will call this elder abuse. Trump was never well—he’s been diseased in the head since childhood, from throwing rocks at babies to threatening local kids with a bat to trying to murder a classmate to stealing valor (incredibly) in *high school*—but he’s utterly gone. This is a horror-show.

Talarico’s argument is simple: Stop treating marijuana like a crime. Legalize it. Regulate it. Tax it. Stop wasting police resources on low-level marijuana offenses. Clear the records of people whose lives have been derailed by nonviolent marijuana convictions.
