We have signed you up for free to use the Dick-Ripping-Off Machine. This is standard practice for new features. Nobody would use the Dick-Ripping-Off Machine if they had to sign up manually, but we believe the Dick-Ripping-Off Machine will create new value

That’s always how it is with AI. Either it’s just there and mandatory, or something you have to turn off. They have to force it on us because they know it’s increasingly unpopular yet they’re desperate to keep that bubble inflated.

Twitch isn't making Gen AI training *opt-in* because no one would voluntarily choose to opt in. Instead, they are offering an opt-out option.

Remember being able to buy something? Remember just owning it afterwards and that was it? Remember how if something was too expensive when it came out, you could wait a while and it would come down in price over time? Remember when things would get upgraded over time but not to make them worse?

You wouldn't have people like Hank Green using AI tools for labor if there wasn't all this pressure to produce, produce, produce to survive. I keep saying this! AI is a labor issue as much as it is every other issue.

Prepare for an insane explosion of Islamophobia between now and November, from the same people on the right (and center!) who pretend to be exercised by the rise in anti-Jewish bigotry. The hate will be off the charts and make the anti-Zohran campaign look tame. Mark my words.

I absolutely played with AI before I understood the environmental costs as well as how much of it was trained on stolen data. There is no personal convenience in the world that is worth destroying the planet or cheapening the value of the human mind for.

Before I found out the truth of AI machines, I tested them out. I thought it was creepy version of Siri and also redundant bc we already have things like Alexa and Siri to ask questions to (especially when I'm traveling).
