okay my grumpy ass has finally settled on a 2025 year in review/eligibility graphic. I have been a furious little literary badger this year desperately clawing at art from all angles. Any interest/support/awards consideration for this work (mine + Cold Signal contributors) is so appreciated
Here’s some graphics from the other day from positive reviews for these books. They’re indie and on top of that they’re specific ass books, which means I gotta hustle hard to get them air time, but readers have been enjoying them and that’s what matters

I wrote a book with @kevinrmaloney.bsky.social & @dtrobbins.bsky.social. We printed 50 copies. I think DT has like a dozen left. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever been a part of; it’s also probably the greatest book of all time.
Finished Teenager this morning. A book that shocks with violence, invites you in with teenage naive optimism, takes you on a journey with two characters you aren’t sure you like or enjoy bur revel in all the same. Beautifully poetic, surprising, heartbreaking and feral. Definitely worth the read

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.
What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.
It also dismantles their narrative a little bit.
