The idea that bright, wild color is something you outgrow is a damaging lie society tells us. This unspoken rule, that enjoying intense, clashing colors makes you childish, is pure bullshit. The depression palette trend has only gotten worse because it saves corpos money. We gotta end it.

Artists, never forget that you are not a brand. You do not need to be consistent and marketable. If you CHOOSE to strive for these things that’s fine, but you do not NEED them. You are a fucking person, multi-faceted and complex. People who do not respect that see your art as a product

A memorial piece for my late friend, we are wearing the clothes we picked out together the last time we saw each other, I am attempting to chase Charlie through a field into heaven as they have their back turned to the light with their hand out stretched toward mine which is reaching for them. The space between us is great, Charlie is slightly transparent the closer they are to the light, between us are the words “so far away” the colors as the piece goes to the right, on my side, are meant to be more representative of earth and their heavenly glow only surrounds the parts of me closest to them, and it is not nearly as bright on myself as I won’t actually be able to join them. The piece is inspired by the song “so far away” by avenged sevenfold
