@maxrushden.bsky.social having an EFL roundup & not mentioning the team that has spent 8 out of the last 10 seasons in the prem & the other two as EFL champs 101 points & joint top 100 points. I know Burnley may not be fashionable but That. Is. A. Disgrace.

Hey @pitchingninja.com how come the strike zone challenges are given as metric divisions of an imperial unit (i.e. 0.6") and not an imperial divisions of an imperial unit (i.e. 5/8 of an inch)? My European head is battered by this.

I understand that it sucks to have to read a book you didn't choose as a kid but when people are like 40 and still going, "well assigned reading turned me off from reading" it's like, ok but you're 40. No one has assigned you a book in like 20 years.

Rough day, so have a poem about the Jar of Moles in the Grant Zoology Museum in London that everyone has regarded as too thoroughly batshit to publish

Jar of Moles (Grant Zoology Museum, London)
crittery dozened things each pink snout snootling
formaldehyde up it's bamboozler which poor fuck
had to collect them out in the dirt with a shovel
here moley moley BONK . I’m only gonna
put you in a jar and let tourists go eww at you
for the next two hundred years god look at me
for two hundred years I’d do anything look
mummy, one of them’s licking the glass—
honey it's dead velvety sweet sardined hope
their ghosts are friends teeming in a molish
afterlife dark and circular everything worm-
flavoured tasty buggy snackerels what if
you smashed the mole jar? vinegared
moles spilling out flaccid & swimming
everyone screaming someone saying Freddy
you gotta get us a new jar of moles—
—goddammit boss I never asked for any of this
A jar of wet preserved moles, the jar is very full and all the little hands, feet and snoots mark it as both upsetting and fascinating

No, it's because only 3.1 percent of the Dutch population live in poverty as opposed to 20 percent of the British population. The Guardian really needs to stop publishing irresponsible lifestyle crap as news. (The Avondvierdaagse is a nice tradition though.) www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

Dutch children are unusually happy and healthy. Is it because of the Avondvierdaagse?

Once a year, Dutch kids, parents and teachers take part in a walking festival, heading out for four nights in a single week to explore their neighbourhoods, exercise and make friends. It’s a tradition...

Jenrick was in the government that sacked 20,000 experienced police officers, then replaced them with 20,000 newbies. Jenrick is now saying these police officers are ‘incompetent’. Jenrick also stated the Met was not racist (against blacks). He’s now saying the police are racist against whites.

Mother's Day can be bittersweet for those whose mothers suddenly fell down a high flight of stairs after her past allegations of rape surfaced while her ex-husband was facing a new rape trial. May those moms rest in peace on their ex-husbands' golf courses. by Ivanka, Eric, & Donald Trump, Jr.
