I could definitely envision a scenario in which armed, autonomous drones are used to defend capital against terrorists and “terrorist” being defined by whoever is in control. Not an extinction event, but a directed culling of those who disagree. We’re basically there now and ai can help us scale up.

Today, we recognize union members and labor activists who fought for the rights workers now have. The forty hour work week, weekends, sick leave, paid holidays, safe working conditions, and much more. None of it was given. It was fought for by working people. And the fight continues.

I hope more people come to realize that the prison population is a proving ground for a lot of the overt fascism we see in the streets. We market-test cruelty on poor populations overseas, in our prisons, and with our unhoused. Normalize it in neglected populations then rotate targeted villians.
