The truth is the DSA is NOT dominating Democratic politics. The media and people sympathetic to the DSA are just hyping every win up, no matter how small.

It's funny that Jeanine Pirro brought a box of evidence to WH to persuade Trump. He wants her to consciously *throw out* exculpatory facts and *knowingly* prosecute innocent people. So facts can't persuade him by definition. Me and @barbmcquade.bsky.social on this: newrepublic.com/article/2139...
He also wanted the death penalty for the Central Park Five, even after it was shown they were innocent.
A paramilitary group plotted to overthrow the Constitution then conducted a violent attack on America. They were convicted in court of seditious conspiracy, and jailed. Then the leader they aimed to illegally install got power and let them out, their records wiped clean. The Jan. 6 attackers won.

The judge, Amit P. Mehta, blasted the administrationβs request for a dismissal in the case, saying it bestowed βunearned graceβ on the Oath Keepers defendants βby wiping their records clean.β

Lloyd Robertson has died. One of the absolute highlights of my professional life to date was during a live stream during pandemic where I got to say βBack to you, Lloydβ TO Lloyd. (picture from a book release around 2011)
What a huge loss for Canada. Lloyd Robertson was a giant in Canadian news journalism and broadcasting. They donβt make them like Lloyd any more. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Mitch McConnellβs communications directorβs silence and smirk speak volumes. If he were fine, or even improving, sheβd just say so. Thereβs no way this man is coming back.

When I was moving out from the husband I was about to divorce, his brother helped load my paltry belongings into a company truck, & as we were about to get in the truck to drive away, my husband asked me to make him a sandwich.
This guy has anti-Semitic brain worms (among many other species of brain worm) and he needs to be treated as radioactive by every Democrat.
He is stupid, heβs cruel, heβs ignorant, heβs bigoted, and iβm tired of being gaslit about him.
Many people are saying that since Mitch being absent is better for Democrats politically, we shouldn't do anything to try to find out if he's dead. But I think that's short-sighted. If we go along with a scam to keep a dead person in office just because it benefits us, we're becoming corrupted.
We have to hold fast to the principles of democracy, and the people of Kentucky deserve representation even if they choose horrible people to represent them. They deserve to know the truth about whether their senator died. We have a chance to show voters in every state that we care about them.
It's going up to 34Β° today. That is 93. 2Β° degrees in hillbilly talk.
I used to think misogyny was the oldest and most widespread form of hate, and it probably still is, but damn antisemitism is giving it a run for its money.
It's really weird how hard it is to get some people to understand that basic life essentials are not like stocks. No one is hoarding food in the hopes of future profit. Even the people who DO hoard food are doing it because they expect society to collapse, not because they intend to later profit.
So far I've heard two equally-absurd but mutually-exclusive reasons why we can't make food affordable. 1. If food became affordable, people would immediately start hoarding far more than they need, depleting the food supply.
AND, also too, 2. If food became affordable people would STOP buying it, waiting for the price to drop even more, to maximize their returns. Neither of those are how food works. People just want to buy their favorites again like they used to be able to do.
They lied about the whole thing and now admit the contractor screwed up the Reflecting Pool installation. And because they were in a rush to indict to please Trump, they presented false evidence to a grand jury. meidasnews.com/news/doj-see...

It must be such an alien concept to Trump, that you can actually run out of things, and that you can't buy more anywhere, at any price. We are the only people who make the weapons he depleted, and it takes a long, long time to make more.
