I still remember the commercial advertising Starlog. I’m really surprised my first issue has held up for 50 years.

Yesterday listened with great joy to Ep 001 of the new @starlogmedia.bsky.social podcast with @jhoffman.bsky.social I have a thought about the Original Starlog feature with Asimov... how delightful that he thought a Star Trek convention would be filled with Screaming Pre-Teen GIrls ala the 1/3
We’re deciding the final elements of the STARLOG Podcast’s first non-pilot episode tomorrow. Excited to embark on this adventure with everyone and share our explorations of sci-fi. LLAP.

I loved STARLOG. Before I had a subscription, I would sit in the bookstore at the mall and read it cover to cover. Pretty excited to see it in print again.

I look away from the Internet to deal with LIFE for one day . . . . HOLY JEEBUS! In my early life as a young bookseller, this magazine was a staple of my consumption. The day I learned it would not continue was dark and forced me to grow in a way I did not want. Welcome back!

STARLOG was one of my earliest windows into how movies and TV shows are made. Far from ruining them for me by showing the strings and duct tape, STARLOG made them even more attractive. It made me want to make things!

It's great to see the return of Starlog magazine. I still have several copies of it and fellow publication Future Life that I've kept since way back when. @starlogmedia.bsky.social
Loved this magazine when I was in my teens in the 1970s. I remember it as an SF TV/movie magazine - it had a sister publication called FUTURE LIFE (which I also read) that did SF author interviews, science fact articles, and such. Welcome back, STARLOG!

The first issue of STARLOG I ever read was when I was nine years old, and its cover story was all about DARKMAN before it was about to drop in theaters. Which probably started my love and appreciation of good entertainment journalism, so to find out that STARLOG will return is some terrific news.
