I'm a person? Horror fan and Star Trek cultist. And yes I'm going to be weird about it. She/her 🏳️‍⚧️

would you like to start a conversation with the customer service chatbot. would you like to use the doctor’s self-service phone system. do you reject the warm touch of a lover. do you long for the cold embrace of steel. will you replace your soul with hydraulic fluid

Good news is she didn't ghost me. Bad news is there won't be a 2nd date. Disappointing sure, but at least she was direct and honest with me and that is always preferable to complete radio silence

I think my main take away from dating thus far is that the apps are mostly validation engines. "Oh hey, this pretty person thinks I'm pretty so I must be pretty too." And I get it, I kinda struggle with knowing how I'm perceived re: attractiveness but shallow skin-deep validation gets kinda old

Another head-scratcher dating phenomenon is matching with the same woman multiple times over the last couple of years but she never responds to DMs and never reaches out herself. Like girrrrrrrrrrrllllll what are we even doing here?!

One of the weirder dating experiences I've encountered is having a successful 1st date that ends with the other person proposing a second date, then later she texts the plans for date #2, but finally she unmatches from me in the app and goes ghost mode. I'm not really sure what I did wrong here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Swiping through tinder profiles often leaves me thinking that people don't give much personality in their bio. But then a bio like this comes up and wellllll, it might be too much: "My love is like a blackhole. I am NOT attracted to uncircumcised penises. Here for MARRIAGE and very INTENSE about it"
