This morning in Danbury, ICE was arresting parents at school bus stops. But it’s more sinister. ICE waited until the kids were on the bus so when they are dropped off at the end of the day, they are alone, scared to death they can’t find their parents. I’m heading to Danbury.

Dolly may have quite literally - along with everyone else you contributed to the miracle of this vaccine - saved my life and yours. I never got very sick with my boughts of covid, but that's the point. When you're not sure who to be or what to do, just think about who Dolly was and be like that.

One thing that's been bugging me today: people who claim Dolly Parton wasn't political. False. She was very political. Her art and life's work were about interrogating power + amplifying the powerless. You only think she wasn't political because she did this by example, not bullshit slogans.
