Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West

Chart showing solar panel exports from China (the main solar panel maker by a long shot) growing steadily & mightily from 2018 through 2026, then spiking by almost 2x in March 2026.

I've flipped today live blog around so now it reads from top to bottom as the last few hours unfolded. Still adding some comments as we see quotes from Ross Atkins come in, and will have some final thoughts before I sign off to record the pod at 8 PM ET.

This got me to finally read the entire New Yorker article on the Tates and... yeah. I don't see how what they're doing is any different than what everyone has accused Jeffrey Epstein of doing. Except they're *more public* about admitting to what they're doing AND getting young men to join in.

David Roberts@volts.wtf · 4d ago

However horrible you think the Tate brothers are, I promise, it's worse than that. It's insane that Dems aren't making a bigger deal of the GOP embracing these grotesque monsters.

I'm not sure folks have realized just how crazy the second half of 2026 and 2027 will be for global temperatures – on the back of a record-smashing El Niño event. Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.

The Republican Party has gone full mask-off Nazi; meanwhile the media narrative being pushed 24/7 is “ahhh! Democrats are being taken over by socialist radicals!!” and their terrifying examples are Miss Rachel, a doctor who wants you to have healthcare, and the friendliest mayor in American history.

Party that spent the last decade grooming and funding and encouraging blind nazi ideologues to run for office and government positions : uh oh

whenever someone tells you that it's simply impossible for police to be charged with misconduct or criminal charges, you can tell they're wrong because some cops do get charged regularly — when they are whistleblowers or reformers prosecutors are actually extremely eager to help drum them out!

Mark Carney promised "elbows-up" nation-building. What Canadians are getting instead is a carve-out economy—where environmental protections, Indigenous rights, and labour standards are treated as obstacles to growth, write @shirip.bsky.social and Eve Saint.

I'm also reupping this because Elon is now calling for violence against anyone who opposes the white supremacist idea of "remigration" and our political leaders won't even take the basic step of not giving him more money every day
