It's National Wine and Cheese Day & hey, I have a perfectly cheesy book to go with your beverage of choice! CHEDDAR LUCK NEXT TIME is a cozy mystery with an autistic lead & a megachonk orange cat. Book 2, BRIE MY VALENTINE, is out in February! www.bethcato.com/cheese-myste...
In a previous day job, I worked to combat lead poisoning in my community. I did it for 2 years and burned out. I cannot imagine doing it for 30 years against oil executives. Man deserves some posthumous medals.
Finally, after all these years, I HAVE A BOOK! I'm excited and anxious and a little bit terrified. If you would consider supporting me on my journey, I would be very grateful: www.backerkit.com/c/projects/s...

Just picked up this sweet lady from @ccfinlay.bsky.social and @raecarson.bsky.social so she can enjoy her fur-ever home with @authorjlhenry.bsky.social. She's a little unsure about the cat carrier but seems eager to live her future princess lifestyle!
Read the whole thread. Cried only a little.

Why is "had had" a thing? In English, it's accurate to write, "He had had a bagel before." But please don't. Please revise it somehow. "He had eaten a bagel before." She had had enough of this nonsense. #grammar #WhyEnglishWhy #editing
My late husband, an oncology nurse and paramedic, advised to, "air out your junk," on a regular basis. So go forth and air out your junk... In the privacy of your own home.

My 2 year old pibble is smashed up against me snoring and I need to go write more but I don't want to disturb her. Dog in question pictured.
Teaching myself OBS today, because apparently I'm doing this podcast thing. Meanwhile, I have 2 editing clients in the queue, a bunch of people to reach out to, and a dozen book ideas thanks to @confusionmi.bsky.social for an inspiring writerly weekend! #ConFusionSF

ConFusion people say I moderate panels well. @authorjlhenry.bsky.social says I should do an Author Interview style podcast. I say this is a bunch of work/time I could be writing. What say you? Make podcast? No make podcast? Eat tacos?
