New metric for how good my email is: ratio of blue dot underlines telling me it could be simplified or is otherwise wordy to total num words.

It is nuts how once you give people a way to collect things, what initially felt easy to part with is no longer. I.e. PDF hoarding, now I'm like, am I really ready to delete this Claude session (w/desktop app)? Even though sessions are best when not too long!

Anthropic REALLY needs a way to allow users to bring some color into the desktop app. Both for people's mental health AND as a way to visually organize all of your work. The current affordances are not sufficient!

World Cup is great but here is my impression of the commentators' statistics: Now, this is only the 4th time since 1973 that we've seen 2 yellow cards, 13 corner kicks, 10 total goals among teams whose colors are collectively red, white, and blue. Just amazing.

Every bit of markdown (rendered in a UI) that I turn into structured data is my small contribution to making the world a better place.

This several months old case study just got shown to me and god it was such a breath of fresh air to read this much about craft in 2026. (Yeah I know the fonts were made several years ago. Truly hope something like this is still possible now/in the future.)

On a whim just opened my copy of, uh....Of Grammatology and found the first page littered with pencil underlines and margin notes from many years ago and while I'm sure whatever I wrote was absolutely cringe it was so comforting to have as an artifact/souvenir of a different time.
