Accessibility is political✊ Working for the web, anywhere and everywhere 🖖🏽

In the video I show a small library which you can play with that makes it very easy and declarative to progressively enhance your apps/sites... We'd love feedback. The main feature is in Canary behind experimental web platform features and it should be in stable in weeks github.com/bkardell/wor...

"They’ve been dubbed “pervert glasses”. Mark Zuckerberg would prefer you call them Ray-Ban Meta glasses, or AI glasses, but they’re increasingly being associated with creeps who use them to film people without their consent." Everyone say it together: "Pervert glasses." Keep saying it.

Mark Zuckerberg faces ‘pervert’ reckoning with AI smart glasses

The tech company’s AI glasses are a contender for the most impressive consumer hardware of the 2020s, writes Anthony Cuthbertson. But they might also be one of the decade’s biggest failures

🛐 Anti-DEI DICKHEADs thrive in the UK. “Dicky likes to moan about diversity, equality and inclusion policies while remaining totally oblivious to the fact that were life to be a genuine meritocracy, he wouldn’t even make it to the starting line.” www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Things get even more tricky for Dicky Tice, the Reform deputy with lots of cash but zero self-awareness

Telling the country to enjoy the heat while it burns, you have to wonder if Tice has lost all sense of reality

I simply do not understand the mentality of people who prefer oil and gas and "drill baby drill" to the cost of the Earth and our pockets... to those of us who want clean, cheap, renewable energy. How brainwashed by big oil and its (often) paid advocates do you have to be? How gullible.

The PDS is your user agent, in terms of responsibility it's like a browser. It can impersonate you much like a browser can. And yes, if you use a PDS you don't or shouldn't trust, you can end up in a Chrome situation where it does backstabby shady shit behind your back.

Can't reply, so I'm quoting. They're not completely wrong, it is important to have a PDS you trust because that is your gateway to The Atmosphere. It holds the private key that signs your records, the part I always think is missed here though is it's a two-way relationship/validation... context:

Tice is an idiot. One thousand people dead in two months from extreme hot weather and he says - enjoy it. One hundred thousand will die in Europe this summer. Tice says see the positives….. He lives in a bubble disconnected from ordinary people and their reality.

Well, GitHub is down again (day that ends in y), but when it is back up: New Repositories now have a new default Issue label for "Accessibility". This update addresses a longstanding gap and helps to normalize accessibility as a primary consideration.

#farage & #reform, are vile human beings. For #Disabled people like myself, PIP & UC disability payments are the only things that allow us to afford to eat, get specialist care/support, get housing, travel to medical appointments & live semi normal lives. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/nationa...

Reform DWP cuts could see PIP and Universal Credit health benefits scrapped

Reform UK plans to scrap PIP and the Universal Credit health element for working-age adults as part of a proposed £50bn welfare shake-up.

bournemouthecho.co.uk

Reform has said they will save £50billion by changes to the welfare system, mainly by getting rid of PIP payments. In Clacton, where Nigel Farage just won his unnecesary byelection, approximately 21% of the residents currently receive PIP. Maybe they should have voted for Count Binface after all. 🤷‍♀️

Looks like the UK Slime are launching a Trump attack against its citizens. 😳😣😠😡

When a bunch of multi-millionaires with billionaire backers tell you that it's the most vulnerable in society who are the problem. 🤯 Reform might not be coming directly for you, yet, but give them time and they most certainly will.

Mike Taylor@miketaylor9.bsky.social · 3d ago

As Danny Kruger says Reform would slash welfare, presenter on #r4today notes the high numbers of people in Farage's and Tice's constituencies who claim PIP, which they'd scrap. Kruger pretends they'd still get support when the plan is actually that they won't. www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

Headlines: Such-and-such technology may someday be as smart as human brains! Reminder: *We already have human brains.* Billions of them. Most of them living in poverty and being exploited for the obscene benefit of a tiny number of the worst people in the world.
