A fantastic ghost story that deeply affected me on so many levels, as it takes place during the Covid pandemic, and as someone who worked on the front lines, this book was like therapy. Will definitely be reading more from her.
Been reading this book for a month, not because it’s been a chore, but because I’ve been savoring it the way King Sorrow savors the blood, screams and terror of his victims. Loving every page of this fine Faustian tale from Mr. Hill. 🐉

Klune’s heartwarming and joyous tale of found family at the Marsyas Island Orphanage in a world where magical beings exist alongside regular folk, is a joy to read. Linus, Arthur, and all of the kids are a delight, and I’m so happy there is a sequel.
Imagine how disappointed I was when I bought all the early D&D gear only to find out that the whole Satanic Panic was horseshit and I DIDN'T gain wicked cool demonic powers.
