BOURDAIN (voiceover): I found myself surrounded by discarded objects. An empty soda can, a dead battery. Life becomes death. But death can become life. The simmering pot with its spicy aroma in front of me is proof. BOURDAIN: What's in this dish? ME: Pikmin BOURDAIN: Pikmin. Oh man that's good.

Dear god someone please let Steve Kornaki throw to an ad break or a kiss cam or something I can’t handle the pressure he’s under

on a completely unrelated note, i just set up syncthing on my homelab this morning and its fucking magical, but the setup would be annoying if you're not into That Kinda Thing. this is not a recommendation for ed, just a reason to post about it

Listening to this Yglesias interview, and Moderate dems appear to think charisma and media bookings are the same thing. Like it doesn’t matter if you can book a show if you’re boring on it. Charisma is not a policy decision, it’s a job requirement.

It is amazing how earnest the LOTR films are. I can’t help but imagine that if they were adapted now we’d get “woah! My ring! It made me invisible! That. Just. Happened.”
