This is not a solicitation for tech support or alternatives, they all suck ass

Listening to a podcast where a nasa guy gleefully says “the great thing about [data centers in space] is that you don’t have to worry about whether there is land available” and I can’t help but imagine that’s exactly what everybody said about the American west.

Hank green has been on the right side of history enough to deserve the benefit of the doubt. But imo the interesting thing is how he clearly made a choice to chase the YouTube algorithm for the last year or so, and how AI is the perfect tool to crank out hours of opinionated, hollow editorial

when i got into climbing 10-ish years ago, i used to love coming here. as a nascent outdoors-guy it was a magical mix of retail therapy and infinite possibilities that would get me through until the next time i could get out of the city and climb something.

There is just something about a brand new Minecraft server. You can go years without giving a shit, but you drop into a crispy, untouched landscape and somehow you instantly start surveying land like an 18th century prospector.

Listening to this Yglesias interview, and Moderate dems appear to think charisma and media bookings are the same thing. Like it doesn’t matter if you can book a show if you’re boring on it. Charisma is not a policy decision, it’s a job requirement.
