I'd youre in SF, Seattle, or any city with hills, pedal-assist e-bikes are transformative for commuting. Speaking from experience. Most of my close calls have been cars leaving parking lots, as opposed to on the road.

Some folks will claim that this is hyperbolic, but what I wish people would understand is that tech initiatives like this serve as a means of eroding consent and lower the barrier for the persistent capture of people’s image, voice, data, or whatever else a gadget can glean.

Haunted by that post circulating where the genAI bro is like 'if I have the idea and tell AI to write it, it's basically writing a book' and just the fundamental misunderstanding of writing, books, why people pursue arts...this is not just about churning out something with your name on it.
