Design tokens in, CSS and components out. 🌐 sugarcube.sh 🐙 github.com/sugarcube-sh/sugarcube 🛠️ @marktomlinson.dev
Ever wanted @sugarcube.sh to NOT generate custom properties for certain tokens - e.g.primitives that have no business in your actual code? Well, now you can control that! Read all about private sets below. And thanks to @alex.unapologetic.io for requesting this feature.

Can't wait til I finish some of these new features. They've been a while in the works. Especially excited about commands like this one that will help you understand your token graph better. And (eventually) make changes to consumers directly.
Current personal project: WordPress starter theme using @sugarcube.sh, combined with a custom block plugin "Every Layout Blocks". Could be a solid setup for building pages! #everylayout #wordpress #webdev
I'm growing ever more slack-jawed with amazement and wonder as I read through these docs. The fluid typography scale recipes? WOWZA! Really well done, @marktomlinson.dev sugarcube.sh/docs/fluid-s...

Forgot to mention: this shipped in @sugarcube.sh last week! No more back-and-forth between sugarcube and utopia.fyi. Thanks to @arpit.codes for helping push me to actually implement this. Check out the fluid space & type docs for more:

Utopia.fyi but in your tokens indeed.
framework-specific component libraries are wild. web components are fucking fab. in this post i walk through creating a framework-agnostic, docs-first design system setup using web standards (and @arielsalminen.com’s wonderful elena). piccalil.li/blog/framewo...
Framework-agnostic design systems: a practical approach to web components
Baking framework lock-in into your design system from day one is a recipe for obsolescence. Component documentation is often tedious and out-of-sync with development. Let’s build a documentation-first...

We’re trying out @sugarcube.sh for a new project and loving it so far. It’s also making us realise just how dependent we’d become on @tailwindcss.com.
I know it's totally unimpressive and all bots or whatever but that 1k still means a lot to me. Thanks to everyone who has shown interest in, or tried out, @sugarcube.sh so far. I'm working on some demos/educational material as well as a roadmap and some exciting new features at the moment.
