Cant believe we lost Eric Bauza so soon, man. My first time hearing him wasnt from the Looney Tunes or really anything famous. It was from the indie cartoon OLLIE & SCOOPS. I thought he was incredibly endearing, headstrong and fun as Scoops. He wasnt even that old either. Young dude. Its so sad.

Sometimes folks we look up to let us down. It's never easy, and I don't think I'll ever fault someone for looking up to others. When they let you down, the best you can do is uphold the principles you want in art and creation, and lift up those who champion them too.

When I look at creators in Indie Animation, I dont see the "inexperienced" or newbies who are "cringe". I see people who are willing to be vulnerable, willing to create at the expense of ridicule for the sake of their own inner worlds. That's what it means to be an artist, I think.
