Got new glasses a couple of weeks ago. After...I've lost count, actually, six, maybe? Trips back to get them adjusted, I have come to the conclusion that I simply cannot make the new frames work on my head with my prescription. I could either see out of them or I could not be in pain. Not both.

Was having some trouble reading my monitor with the new glasses (and my sky high prescription), because everything was just too bright. Never had an issue with that before, but figured, well, bodies are weird, let me try changing the colors a bit. Whew. So much more comfortable now.

I got new glasses and my prescription bumped up a fair bit on one side. TIL that eyes adjusting to new focus feels a lot like the sinus pressure of a stuffy nose. The nerves and muscles that control each one live in the same ZIP code. Bodies are so weird, man.

Sharing this because some of you might find it helpful. My mom used to use an ipad all the time to watch videos, look stuff up on Google, send emails...all basic stuff. But her dementia has made that all way too hard anymore. I just ordered her a Claris Companion, which simplifies all of that.

When I was a kid, we had a whole set of glasses like this with different color flowers. They originally had sour cream in them, or maybe jelly. When my mom cleared out her house, she asked if I wanted her Lladro or her crystalware. Nope. I wanted the glasses we always had iced tea in.

Few things enrage me as much as when a salesman or service provider won’t even look at me when I’m standing next to my husband as we discuss business for the house or a car. As though I’m not at all involved in the conversation.
