Woman. Feminist.

What you mean your finely worded question is how do men get what they want without women complaining about losing their rights? Who else gained their rights social rights at the cost of someone else losing theirs? Who lost their rights when women got the right to vote? A right withheld by … men.

These are both examples of the social salience accorded to sex and the dominance of the male perspective. Men are NOT women, but men who say they’re are are believed over the women who say they’re not Women ARE people but men who say they’re not are believed over the women who say we are.

“All men, including the ones who say they are women”
So you are actually just anti-rights.
Remember how it sounds when people said “All women, including the ones who say they are people”?

I saw a notification of a reply but the person has blocked me so I can't see their post. They took issue with my language, claiming that saying "Men who say they are women" is like saying "women who say they are people". I'd appreciate a s/s if anyone can find it.

Here is a list of the organisations Amnesty has branded as dangerous and "anti-rights". In fact it's a list of mostly grassroots organisations advocating for women's rights. By calling them "anti-rights" Amnesty now makes it clear that they believe women deserve no rights of their own.

When feminists talk about a woman's right to decide what does and does not enter her own body, or who does or does not get to enter female-only spaces, we are not indulging in some paranoid right-wing fantasy of total repulsion of the Other. We're just saying women are subjects, too.

I am delighted to announce that 'Sex, Gender Identity and Sport', is published today by Routledge and now available for order. It's edited by me, and an academic text so a bit on the pricey side, but use Code 26AFLY1 for a 20% discount. Sex, Gender Identity and share.google/5NHeTWqRefwW...

How can you say women's rights are not in conflict with trans rights when most women want single-sex spaces based on sex and you want to allow males into those spaces who say they have a trans identity? Are you just pretending not to see conflict or ignoring women? liberalvoices.org/thought-term...

Thought‑Terminating Clichés Are the New Normal

Zoe Hollowood argues that political slogans and thought-terminating clichés are undermining open debate on women’s rights, trans rights and liberal values.

According to research cited by Rape Crisis, 97% of UK women think survivors should have access to female-only victim support services. 90% of rape victims are female & the overwhelming majority of attackers are male. You may be one of the 3% but it's extreme & misogynist to ban female-only options.

In tomorrow’s Times: Andy Burnham must make clear our law strikes the right balance in protecting trans people from discrimination but certainly not permitting men to opt into women’s services, spaces and sport, regardless of how they identify. www.thetimes.com/article/36af...

Andy Burnham must be clear he believes in women-only spaces
