Insects could face an uphill battle adapting to climate change. A new review of research in @funecology.bsky.social found that lower oxygen levels and air pressure at higher elevations could pose a barrier to some insect species moving upslope to escape climate warming.

The evolutionary ecology #ExE2026 conference in Cornwall had a very similar vibe to the American Society of Naturalists @asn-amnat.bsky.social stand alone meetings. It would be great to have more European participation in ASN and coordinate future meetings, maybe alternating sides of the Atlantic.
