I've posted about this project mostly on twitter, and it's been over a year since I last worked on him, but I finally felt the drive to pick him back up and do some fixes~ Started with the face, taking some feedback from a friend's coworkers. New Vs. Old and concept ref by Bugeon Choi.

Did some sculpting on a wip for a bit, and apparently, it's part of my muscle memory now because I didn't feel the rust at aaaalll After all this time recovering from all the layoff bs, working new jobs, and just focusing on enjoying my free time, it finally felt right again ♡

As a tip when learning 3D and you're not 100% confident in the workflow: Do small tests where you *only* focus on one part of the workflow. This could be baking from a very simple object, retopoing a simple shape, etc. Knowing the workflow by heart will help you a ton

Freshened up my haircut pre-GDC and also did some optimizing to my old laptop in the mall~ Kinda wanted to work at a different space outside home today.

It's only been 3 days at my new job, and I'm genuinely enjoying it so far. I admit I was pretty scared, and I still kinda am a lil intimidated, but the kids have been so sweet and welcoming to me. The staff is also so sweet, and the admin actually listens to their team's feedback. Wowzers

Went to a job fair today and even got interviewed for one as a tech tutor for kids and teens. I feel like they really liked me, and I might hear back from them within two weeks if I get hired, so wish me luck ✨️
