A staggeringly thoughtful and balanced podcast episode by @ezraklein.bsky.social "Why American Jews No Longer Understand One Another" which is worth 24 minutes of anyone's time. I wonder to what extent these "family feuds" also happen among British Jews. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/w...

1/n It’s been a long week, and we're only halfway, so here is a fun story of how new classical macroeconomics came to France - not the whole story, but part of the fabric of how economic ideas do travel As any 1980s French story, it involves postmodernism, art, fashion & nudes (and macro) #econsky

For theory, I always thought that the story on how the proof was found is much more valuable than the super optimized backward engineered final version of it which, most of the time, kills the intuition but "looks impressive", I would love to see more on this in small "sketch" paragraphs
How cool is this?! A behind the scenes seminar series on how an economics paper came about - all the invisible work that never gets into the printed version. First event on 17th of February. I am also looking forward to using the recordings for teaching. www.bts-seminar.net
