NEWS: The Trump administration is preparing a $2.8 billion sale of 40,000 2,000-pound bombs and 20,000 penetrator warheads to Israel, with the weapons to be purchased using U.S. taxpayer dollars through the Foreign Military Financing program

Some Dems are running away from trans people. Abdul El-Sayed, Dem Senate Candidate in Michigan, is running towards them. When asked, he fully and unequivocally support trans youth care as a matter between parents, patients, and doctors. Subscribe to support our journalism.

"The Decision Ought To Be Between A Patient And Their Doctor," Says Michigan Senate Candidate El-Sayed On Trans Care

Even conservatives “agree that the decision about healthcare ought to be between a person and their provider,” El-Sayed said.

I wish our government would go after pedophiles like they go after brown men headed to work at 7 am. I wish they would close billionaire tax loopholes like they close our public schools. I wish they would fund healthcare like they fund forever wars in the Middle East.

Simply *not* being a virulent transphobe is now a very very good indicator that you really do disagree with the party full of sexual predators, billionaire freaks, and thieves. You would think an opposition party would *want* such a strong and consistent indicator that they actually do oppose.

In the months after the 2024 election a lot of Democrats said/did a lot of things to fight the last war that poisoned them with the base, like Seth Moulton’s transbashing and Angie Craig’s vote for the Laken Riley Act. Didn't work out well for either.

Why would they do this? What could be their objective in elevating the association with a largely unknown figure who holds no office over the tight association the other candidate has with the toxically unpopular President? It makes you think about what theyre trying to achieve.

Does media coverage of this race reflect that Mike Rogers is viewed less favorably by voters and has more ground to make up than Abdul El-Sayed? If not, why not? What do the news media have to gain by covering it the other way?

The most eye-popping part of the new EPIC-MRA poll of Michigan, which has Dems leading by an identical 4 points in the Gov and Sen races: Rogers has a disastrous fave rating (29/40), perhaps a leftover of the 2024 Senate race he lost. El-Sayed & Benson are +1, & James is -5.

Trump: A nation cannot be first on Earth if we're going to be second in space. It just doesn't work that way. It... eh, it makes sense. I was going to say, does it make sense? I guess it does, when you think about it

We are a broken nation. Hundreds of thousands of Haitians were living and working legally, paying taxes, and contributing. Haiti remains wholly unsafe. But Trump hates Haitians, and the White House wanted videos of Black people in chains, so they stripped them of status and turned on the cameras.

Haiti TPS has been TERMINATED.
Those with terminated TPS are in our nation Illegally. They have two options: LEAVE IMMEDIATELY or be DEPORTED.

Underneath is a screenshot of a video showing two Haitian men in chains being led to the aircraft. I didn’t post the video, but it’s vile.

NEW: Victor Marx's campaign won't say where supporters' money goes when they buy campaign merch or $1300 meetings with Marx himself. Our investigation linked the online shop to an out-of-state company with hidden owners. Then we found a document revealing the owner: Victor Marx.

More like this coming. "An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge on Wednesday for throwing an activist to the ground near Chicago." This one brought by Cook County prosecutors. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/12/u...

ICE Agent Who Pushed Activist to the Ground Near Chicago Pleads Guilty

The agent, Adam Saracco, was charged with misdemeanor after the altercation at a gas station near Chicago last year during the Trump administration’s crackdown there.

Incredible. When E—n M—k & his crew obliterated USAID in a weekend, they deleted a vast trove of publicly-funded knowledge: the Development Experience Clearinghouse. A Canadian high school student (!) happened to have downloaded the entire thing for a project. AidData has now posted it for all.

Before reimagining development data, remember what we’ve learned

Why we’re publishing a free, searchable, and ungated archive featuring a quarter-century of USAID evaluation reports.
