They were doing this to a Yemeni family I know. Making them come in every 4 weeks just to slap another ankle monitor on someone. Then, 2 weeks ago when they went back, after Yemen’s TPS status was extended, they went “uhh… I guess see you in 2027.”

Called them in one day and put an ankle monitor on her father, one month later they called them in again and put an ankle monitor on her mother. Her mother, understandably, was in tears, saying “I’m not a criminal.” 1/

I had to highlight this tribute to Mamoru Oshii's live action film "Stray Dogs - Keberos Panzer Cops" in the new animated movie "Patlabor EZY - File 1". They literally recreated almost all of the shots from the original 1991 trailer.
Let me rephrase that: I feel very bad for those who work in the game industry. Not the corporations. The corporations can kick rocks and yes, as much as I absolutely adore Nintendo games that includes them too. No need to cape for something that doesn’t need caping.
I honestly didn’t think that EA could get any worse. Little did I know. I feel very bad for the gaming industry to be honest

Love has never needed permission from labels 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 My emptiness of gender lets me see that clearly. Anxiety tightens around transgender lives right now. Why must their chosen bonds still pass through someone else’s gate? Why is the soul they claim treated as a request instead of a right?
It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Though it’s a fight to do this, there’s a point you reach when even the fight becomes so much more joyous. When you stop being scared someone is getting something of yours or something they didn’t deserve & realize everybody deserves more. Then you become fueled by rage but that’s better than fear.

Yeah Lynchings were "community affairs". They'd bring the kids from school to come watch. Lynching postcards were an incredibly popular collectable for quite a long time. The postcards were photos of the dead along with families and the murderers posing alongside. They were also the only records.
And that's to say nothing of the souvenirs. Clothing would be cut into squares, the rope into small segments. Body parts were also frequently stolen. Lynchings were common from the Civil War to the late 1940s. And only "rare" until the late 70s. This isn't "ancient history", as some would claim.
(And, for the record, lynchings still happen, and have been happening, since the 70s.)
