They published this the same day they published the news that Mamdani's office is releasing to the public thousands of documents showing Giuliani's office knew how toxic the air was around Ground Zero and lied about it, leading to more deaths than on 9/11.

In a story that's built on questions of Giuliiani's credibility vs. Mamdani's, the New York Times should have pointed out that Giuliani has been disbarred in both Washington, DC, and New York.

“A lot of them don’t believe that their fight is partisan, and it’s not.” Yes it is. MAHA is overwhelmingly a right-wing movement with right-wing goals. The reason they make “progressive” arguments is to trick mainstream figures into working with them — exactly as AOC seems to be doing.

Since Germany and its desire to continue supporting Nazi groups is in the news again, I’m not thrilled that this thing I wrote about (but never finished because I’m me) will continue to be. Can anyone tell these Nazi punks to fuck off? Anywhere in the “West”? Like… c’mon…

No One Ever Tells Nazi Punks to **** Off. An obvious problem today, it was also a problem in the self-proclaimed "anti-Nazi" German Democratic Republic. Unsurprisingly, we keep committing the same mistakes today that they did. So I decided to begin highlighting this connection: 🗃️

Hey, @aoc.bsky.social, I like you, but don’t do this. Believe it or not you don’t actually gotta hand it to them. A healthier world isn’t coming from anyone listening to MAHA acolytes.

I want to throw up. “They described the meetings as a chance to…listen and to “brainstorm” about how the two sides might “build a movement together”...” @aoc.bsky.social you are in bed with eugenicists. Their goals are based on conspiracy theories and anti-science lies. Honestly how dare you?

UW-Madison professor engages in multiple sexual relationships with students, disparages another over their sexual orientation and appearance, creates hostile environment, and department leadership covers it all up. And in true “pass the trash” fashion, moves on to ASU once forced to resign.

I agree with all 4 changes to Leftist electoral strategy—at least as applied to statewide races—recommended here, but to me by far the most important point is #3. We must steadily rely less on canvassing by strangers and more on building relational breadth. Relational is how we best money at scale.

Screenshot from "A Tale of Two Primaries: What El-Sayed and Hong can teach us about ground games, air wars, and taking socialist politics statewide," by Bennett Carpenter, Jeffrey L., and Max D., published in The New Liberator on Aug 18, 2026. The excerpt contains the 3rd of 4 bullet points in a set of recommended additions/changes to the socialist Left's electoral-strategy toolkit:
--
Preserve the power of volunteer-driven conversations while adapting how we reach voters. Volunteer-driven conversations should remain at the heart of our field model, but statewide campaigns will need to rely less exclusively on traditional canvassing and more on relational organizing-building networks of local volunteers who can organize their friends, coworkers, neighbors, and communities.

A tinted window citation is the same thing that ICE used to throw out a friend of mine's application to stay here even though he is married to a US citizen (he's been in a MS detention center for over a year now). They will use literally ANYTHING to someone and subject them to this stuff.

“The wife of one of the men deported after encountering Taylor police still struggled to understand how a tinted window upended her family’s life. We are not using the couple’s full names because they fear reprisals for their family still in the U.S.”

“The team behind the party chair doesn't even care enough about Brooklyn to spell its name right.” 👆 This is a banger line. The saddest part, however, is that it’s probably an understatement for how little they actually care about the borough.

The video clip is much more like a work of political satire (or of outsider art) than it is a convincing argument that Bichotte Hermelyn and her cohort are the rightful leaders of the party that represents Kings County's 1.2 million registered Democrats.

Had an interesting evening outside the Brooklyn Democratic Party meeting in Mill Basin last night. A dancing Frank Seddio, an anthem-singing district leader, a fleeing BK Dems chair... and a vote that snatches back the power the old guard saw slipping away... (we got audio from inside)

Brooklyn Democrats Don’t Need Your Democracy

Hell Gate was outside a Mill Basin clubhouse Tuesday night as party chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn led a vote to override June's election results.

Representation's power ultimately derives from mass RECOGNITION—from others' treating that status as legitimate. Both Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn's status as BK Dems Chair and her version of the executive committee are ILLEGITIMATE. Let us TREAT them as such—and tell our electeds to do the same.

Report from Brooklyn Democratic Party exec committee meeting is that Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn's anti-democratic power grab has passed by 21-19 vote (1 abstention, 1 no-show) *All 8 District Leaders who lost in June voted yes*

Disgusted by the Trump-esque behavior of my Assemblymember -- subverting the will of Brooklyn voters, denying press access to public meetings, and focusing on fighting progressive Dems instead of taking on Republicans. If these changes stand, she should not be considered a legitimate party chair.

Dispatch from Mill Basin this evening, where the Brooklyn Democratic Party is voting to enact sweeping changes to the party's bylaws, reformers say will help Party Chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn stay in control of the party: www.thecityreporter.nyc/2026/08/25/r...

For those looking for updates on tonight's Brooklyn Democrats executive committee meeting, we're afraid most of the media on location are primarily posting on the other site. BK Dems appear to be attempting to block press access to the meeting. We'll share info here when we have it.
