Look, I don't know much about this issue, but according to the media I consume which is carefully engineered to piss me off,
i think it was pretty brave of hank green to openly say he was relying on LLMs a bit too much for research and writing, and it sounds like it got very addictive
It’s also telling that 2 years later these group chat participants are still cut that they got exposed. The rest of the world moved on, but they’ve remained fully committed to their victimhood despite being the aggressors.
it was in the public interest to know that a group of people were mass-targeting pro-palestinian people to be fired, de-funded, and stripped of their livelihoods. their names were released - no phone numbers, addresses iirc. it was not because they were jewish, it was because of the group's actions.

Also, as others have said better, you didn’t get doxxed. You were named. Your name was mentioned. This is not and has never been a form of doxing. Your membership of a harassment ring was disclosed to the public and this was emphatically in the public interest
“Would I be proud to have my name associated with what I am about to say” is the most basic ass thing to ask yourself and if you don’t ask yourself that question or the answer is no and you do it anyway then yeah there’s probably going to be consequences??? Feeling embarrassed is not being doxxed.
It seems to me breathtakingly audacious to complain about being “cancelled” for being outed as a member of a group dedicated to targeting people in the press and mass-emailing their employers and funders in an attempt to destroy them and their livelihood. The DARVO happened almost instantaneously

This watering down of the term doxxing is going to have a devastating long term impact. Same with the “gatecrashing” framing of Nazis attending rallies they share ideology with. The members of the group chat were *outed*, or disclosed, or leaked, however you want to say it. It wasn’t sharing PII.
