There are many stories for why oil price remains lower than any expert expected. None of them fully explain it. So let me add one more: capitalists are saying oil is not as important to global economy as energy experts think it is. Certainly not as important as it was in the 1970s or even 2000s.

This is a critical point: *today*, even in countries that don’t introduce policies & measures to support it, consumers can unilaterally enact electrification and demand destruction
