In the presidential immunity case, the court considered a hypothetical of a president ordering Navy Seals to assassinate an American political rival. Trump's lawyer argued unambiguously yes, since it'd be an "official act." The Roberts Court ruled in his favor, 6-3. Why wouldn't Trump believe this?

Trump: "I could've done very bad things to Hillary Clinton. I could've done very very bad things to Joe Biden. I could've done very bad things to Barack Hussein Obama ... I can do whatever I want, if I want."

WELL NOW, would you look at that? A massive, 4-YEAR-LONG study of NEARLY 30 MILLION people in France found that individuals who received a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine had a 74% LOWER risk of death from severe COVID-19 compared to unvaccinated individuals and ZERO increased risk of all-cause mortality.

everyone is worried that the polls are overstating democrats… but, what if they’re actually overstating republicans because respondents are lying about not supporting Trump in 2024

Two pollsters I've spoken to in the last few weeks say they are certain their respondents are lying on the 2024 recall question.

They're lying by saying they voted for Harris.

True-crime culture will be tempted to turn this case into a tour of a “house of horrors.” The media will study every grotesque detail. Audiences may soon know more about a the killers creative persona than about the women whose lives may have ended there. That is another kind of disappearance.

People are not high-risk. Situations are dangerous. Predators are dangerous. Housing instability, criminalization, poverty, isolation, and institutional indifference create danger. A woman does not become less missing because her life was complicated.

When a missing woman has used drugs, traded sex, experienced homelessness, or had an arrest record, her disappearance is the consequence of a “high-risk lifestyle.” That phrase performs a moral trick. It shifts responsibility from the person who caused harm to the person forced to navigate danger.

Those facts may help investigators reconstruct what happened. But in public storytelling, they can also become code - signals telling the audience which lives to value less. We have seen this pattern before.

Investigators say they have identified 58 people depicted in the files. Seven are missing women. In recordings, four appear lifeless, while another video may show what happened to a fifth. News coverage has emphasized drugs, pornography, the women’s possible connections to street economies.

The unfolding #Philadelphia investigation is a warning about whose disappearances are treated as urgent - and whose are allowed to become background noise What police found is staggering: more than one million digital images, guns, false law-enforcement credentials, urns containing cremated remains

We try to post threads because we know not everyone will click links. This is one of those threads, please read it, but please also click the link and read the entire piece. We have been watching this story unfold but haven't seen much media traction. There is a serial killer in Philadelphia.

LMFAO -- Trump is holding an event at the White House right now but there's no audio because the press pool isn't there. The Newsmax host notes that this is an example of Trump's attacks on the press "backfiring just a little bit"

Eye popping. Court just unsealed Summary Judgment motions in New York Times v OpenAI / Microsoft. Easy to see why the AI companies had so many redactions (pink). Their own people wrote the lede for NYT, the "largest theft of labor in human history"... "more and more substitutive..." /1
