Sadly back in New York after another successful trip to Critical Theory Workshop in Paris. Gabriel, Jennifer, David, and I had a fantastic workshop on Domenico Losurdo’s writings and talked a lot about future collaborations! Until next year!
After ~3 years, I've decided to make public my 40 min dissertation film—STONES IN COLD WATER—a (very) slow, experimental look at the quotidian & historical memory in Ukraine just months before the Russian invasion. It's told through 7 cantos à la Dante. vimeo.com/811373500?sh...

My chapter "The Enchanted Biopolitics of Dark Cosmism" is out now in this great edited collection, in which I trace the way Russian Cosmist philosophy has been twisted & used by Silicon Valley tech corporations & the U.S. regime today. The entire book will be open-access soon as well!

I have pivoted and started writing my first script in over a decade for this film. I will complete the remainder of the shoot this summer in Ireland and Germany.
Because I'm an absolute mad lad, I'm writing/editing two films at once. In a way, my desert film is a foil to this one—another speculative ethnography—that I shot in Ireland in County Donegal last summer called EARTHSHINE.
The article I wrote with @dajveism.bsky.social is now published—and is open-access! It is part of a fantastic special issue on the works of Domenico Losurdo edited by Gabriel Rockhill & Jennifer Ponce de León. We welcome engagement, discussion, & critique! www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
I figure the 30th anniversary since publication is the prime opportunity to overcome my three aborted attempts and *finally* read the entirety of Infinite Jest. If anyone else wants to have an "Infinite Summer" and co-read, let me know.
Tune in May 16th to see me and @dajveism.bsky.social talk about our article along with many other amazing comrades who contributed to this special issue on Losurdo's work. Livestream: www.youtube.com/live/ezBvf3S... Our article: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.... Full special issue coming soon!
Got my cheeky early copy of Enough Is Enough by @mattbernico.bsky.social and @deandettloff.bsky.social. Can’t wait to read!

"Those who do not fight imperialism but acquiesce in it lead lives which become increasingly devoid of meaning—hence the spiritual decay of modern affluent societies. (I said that suicide was the logical conclusion of such acquiescence: but few behave logically.)" –John Berger
