I’ve volunteered at food pantries and you sometimes get people upset to see someone in a nice car using a food pantry and I need to completely assure you that the person with the nice car actually is in need of that food because people who aren’t in need do not pretend to need food
The Michigan primary looks a lot less close when you consider how much money was spent on the Stevens campaign. El-Sayed is right of course, we must have money out of politics.
And not only that, but there seems to be a compulsive need to remind people that they can get away with it.

The more I reflect on it the angrier I get. I have never seen a film with such a large difference between the quality of individual scenes and the horridness of the overall finished product. Genuine 0/10 movie it should not exist.

whenever someone tells you that it's simply impossible for police to be charged with misconduct or criminal charges, you can tell they're wrong because some cops do get charged regularly — when they are whistleblowers or reformers prosecutors are actually extremely eager to help drum them out!

Isekai as a genre is exploding in popularity because it appeals to a universal desire to get hit by a truck rather than live in the 21st century.
Been thinking about guns and fast cars a lot lately. Specifically about what it means to enjoy a clear net negative to society. And the bitterness of having willingly given them up because you think the world would be better about them while most people won't even give up mid wizard novels or LLMs.
If somebody came to one of my writing classes with a novel about a “24-year-old wunderkind” on Wall Street called Leopold Aschenbrenner who graduated from Columbia aged 19, looked and dressed exactly like this, and crashed the stock market, I’d advise them to tone it down a bit

Atuin is easily my favorite productivity tool of recent memory and here we have the second material improvement (the other being syntax highlighting) in what feels like as many weeks?!?! This is what actual good software looks like IMHO.
