weirdest non-allergy related food habit i can think of was my buddy's ex wife used to put ketchup on her pizza. like heinz tomato ketchup. i never asked but i always suspected this had something to do w their divorce

A lot of vegetable aversion tropes date from when vegetables were mostly steamed or boiled or from canned. It wasn’t until adulthood, for example, that I had asparagus that wasn’t stringy mush

i know it's out there bc we've been seeing the trope our whole lives, some kids are hella picky about food, but i've only ever met one child who flat out refused to eat broccoli. most kids like it. even if they hate the flavor, they can get into the idea of being a giant who eats little trees

stephen a smith culture warrior arc is dogshit. i personally enjoy a windbag in the sports space bc the stakes are low and it's fun. but too many guys from that neighborhood are opining on other matters these days. dogshit
