I was not successful in securing CHVRCHES tickets :( but I am a little taken aback at those surprised they went so fast. I mean, the London venue only has a capacity of 250 and the Glasgow one doesn't publish a capacity because it's usually a recording studio. These were tiny, tiny (charity) shows:

From the web page of St Matthias Church declaring its capacity maximum is 250.

In general, the kind of content journalists want to create, and the most engaged readers want to see, makes the least money. We all try to do good stuff, but it’s increasingly tough. Publishers and devs with galactic revenues ask for support, but few give back. Support your media!

I know it's something I should really stop paying attention to and it's literally just toxic/bad faith discourse etc, but a lot of the worst "takes" re: Double Fine's Kickstarter really betrays who quite obviously didn't watch (at a generous estimate) even one episode of the PsychOdyssey.

Coyote Vs. ACME is so damn good. I cannot believe it was almost a victim of a tax write off scheme. It’s so full of heart, so smart, so creative and fun. Must see.

Just a PSA for all the other major publishers: You can’t make a GTA 6. Don’t have any meetings about it. Don’t put together any pitch decks. Don’t preemptively doom your workforce and the industry any further than you already have. Leave it alone.

GTA VI looks visually incredible, I enjoyed the writing & cinematic work a lot, world building etc - but the gameplay looks very familiar. And oddly the contemporary, "realistic" settings makes all the murder feel kinda... nasty? I wonder if it'll feel as revolutionary as previous iterations.

Absolutely loved Coyote vs. Acme and despite fear of re-treading very worn ground I can only implore that you try and go see it to prove the idiots that tried to write it off for tax breaks wrong. In other words: boxd.it/g36xxT

A ★★★★★ review of Coyote vs. Acme (2026)

It's hard to review this movie without referring to the elephant in the room, but: Coyote Vs Acme is a fantastic movie that deserves to be seen, with great performances from all involved and a very sn...

This is fantastic news - those who've watched the Double Fine Documentary will be all too aware how much a sticking point the Amnesia Fortnight was when they got bought up by Xbox. Now they're free... it's back.

It's only now I remember today is the 20th anniversary of this coming out. There's not really words, though I'm sure I'll find a few thousand for the newsletter. "We are twice as far from Rue Britannia as Rue Britannia was from Britpop" is certainly a thought. The other is: thank you, McK.
