Never before in near 2000 hours of playing The Long Dark have I ever seen the climbing rope anchor at the mysterious signal fire spawn a rope. I've probably been up to the signal fire a dozen times. Now, I'm on day 24 of an Interloper run... 1/? #thelongdark

Yesterday I started writing again after a long time away from the keyboard (not counting writing I do for my ttrpg campaigns). I sat down and spent the afternoon banging out the start of an story. One that's been in my head for a while. I managed to get 2161 words on the page. Not a bad start, I say

Reading through thia great article has made me glad I made the choices I have for my kitchen. Made-In pans and plates, Le Crueset pot, hand made knives by Amo Bladesmithing. Happy to see there's still legacy brands out there that are owned and run with integrity. Sad about the rest.

On this Dr. MLK, Jr. Day I want to uplift his 1967 Riverside Church speech that connected US imperialism with racialized capitalism at home. But it also presents a vision for economic justice. This was a call for a revolution of values and his message remains urgent and timely.
