I’ve noticed a real resurgence in homophobia in non-right wing spaces since Lindsey Graham died. Making fun of people by either implying or asserting that they’re gay/queer (and/or for being potentially closeted) is bad, no matter what their politics are.

I finished Into the Manosphere, on Netflix. Holy shit. These men are so vile. Every word out of their mouths is obscene. theyre so clearly an active threat to the women in their lives. To everyone, but especially women. Everything is content, it’s all for the camera—yet it’s all too real.

"We just gotta have the plagiarism resource burner cause we call it ai and we call other unrelated algorithms that are useful ai and that means its good" Someone calling 2 unrelated things a term that neither is does not magically make it a defense of one of them through transitive properties.

Its made extra absurd by it being marketing teams that labelled a bunch of tech "AI" that is objectively not AI to specifically conflate them & make it appear better than it is. Not only are none of these things AI, they're being a stooge to capitalists by participating in conflating different tech.

"mmmm you say ai bad BUT ai actually refers to a lot of different things and actually we've had what could be considered ai technology for a long time now" bro shut UP you KNOW i'm talking about the algorithms they shoved all recorded information and one trillion dollars into

Democratic lawmakers are calling for an investigation into Eric and Don Jr.’s ties to 15 companies that have received $3.2 BILLION in defense contracts. Here's what you should know about their ongoing grifts.

Just so we’re clear: there is not, nor has there ever been, any way to undo the consequences of a merger or the merger itself if the company decides not to fulfill the pinky promises it made to get approval. There are no meaningful legal consequences prepared for ignoring the guarantees given.

U.K. Approves Paramount-Warner Bros. Merger

The U.K. cleared Paramount Skydance's $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. on competition grounds on Thursday.

Elon Musk & his DOGE boys wouldn't shut up about the billions in "waste" they were finding. Turns out most of that was a lie (shocker).   This was never about "waste," it was about undermining Americans’ faith in govt & grabbing big govt contracts for Trump's billionaire buddies.

Elon Musk’s DOGE made big errors in claims of government savings, GAO finds

The government watchdog found that billions of dollars in DOGE’s public tally could not be verified and that some claimed cuts never happened.

Every single member of ICE needs to be in jail, alongside every member of congress who voted to fund them for their role in directly funding mass human rights violations with OUR money. It doesn’t matter if they start abandoning Trump, republicans funded murder & should go to jail. Plain and simple.

Control of the House came down to 7,000 votes in five districts during the last midterms. We can’t take anything for granted this year, especially as the regime threatens mail-in voting, targets registration programs, and even tries to ban states from encouraging people to vote.

Literally every media outlet should be SCREAMING about how one whiny billionaire just managed to make a massive human rights organization completely change its stance on how much of an emergency the attacks on a global scale against a marginalized group are—AND get an actual apology from them.

When I offered my amendment to kill this slush fund, Republicans said we should accept Trump's word that it was dead. We knew they were wrong. This is why.   Even in the middle of an illegal war, with prices rising, Trump wants to send your tax dollars to criminals & save his sweetheart tax deal.

Tweet from Seth MacFarlane: And there it is:

Team Trump appeals the lower court order against his $1.776 billion slush fund & sweetheart IRS immunity deal

Trump challenges to 11th circuit in Atlanta

Lower court (Florida) judge eviscerated Trump's slush fund in her order

I REALLY recommend Why Civil Resistance Works by Erica Chenowith and Don’t Talk About Politics by Sarah Stein-Lebrano. Theyre complimentary, the former collects data about the success/fail rate of nonviolent resistance movements while the latter focuses on the psychology behind building coalitions.

Frustrating af how you can’t meet people where they’re at to encourage organizing without someone popping out of a trash can like “WE CAN’T VOTE OUR WAY OUT—“ it’s the waffles and pancakes of political action. Is kneecapping mutual aid and connection efforts is gonna get more people throwing bricks?

Revolution is not a Hollywood depiction of 1790s France, it’s not a Day of Reckoning—it often is physical self-defence against political violence, but that’s not all it is, far from it. Destruction without building is not a solution. It’s half-baked revenge, at best. Pull your head outta your ass.
