I really like having a reading app that has a streak, because I’m competitive and it basically guarantees that I’ll read at least a little bit every day.

Not the ceo of bluesky talking about attracting a "different" kinda audience - an audience that "isn't progressive", and bla bla bla. They're about to do an ewon husk and open up this platform to the kinda red maga fascism on the bird app. Also, bluesky is already filled with blue maga liberals.
My favorite pervasive ad tactics: 1. Native ads. Make the ad look like a normal post so it can be annoying AND disappointing. 2. Incorporating the marketing email agreement into the terms of service agreement. 3. Pop-ups. Fuck you. 4. Very small button to close out the aforementioned pop-ups.
The cool peeps in my speculative fiction writers group on Discord started sharing their Pagebound accounts. I did not know it existed! Seems like a better version of Goodreads—not owned by Amazon, too, which is a plus. Anyway, here's mine. #booksky pagebound.co/users/Noodle...

Isekai as a genre is exploding in popularity because it appeals to a universal desire to get hit by a truck rather than live in the 21st century.
I always say, “I do not dream of labor,” yet here I am. A workaholic.
I know most people talk to their dogs, but mine is basically my therapist at this point. 😭
My sister grows a lot of succulents, so I made her this little cactus. His name is Carl. Carl the Cactus. 🤗🙏🏽
I write stories that are purely meandering nonsense. They have some conflict, but there’s honestly no overarching plot. It’s legit just slice of life vibes forever and ever. Not good for publishing, but it makes my brain meat happy. 🙂
I wonder what famous people think when they’re parodied. I feel like it would hurt my feelings a lot.
I crocheted my dad as a wizard. ‘Twas not my best work (I had to try to cover the many stitch gaps with “patches”), but he liked it, so I’ll take it as a win. As with everything, got the pattern from Etsy. This time from CraftyTibbles. 🧙🏿
Today's daily reminder that the UAE is currently engaged in a genocide in Sudan using weapons they receive from the US and money they receive from our tourism dollars, and every celebrity who lives or vacations in Dubai or Abu Dhabi is knowingly funding it.
I like when one book I liked makes a cameo in another book I’m reading. I’m reading Life After Cars, which covers how cars ruined us, and it mentions ‘There Are No Accidents,’ which covers the history of “accidental” deaths in America and how they’re not really accidents at all. I'm like:
Leonardo DiCaprio Points: 'Yes, That's It!'

I had a list of evil companies I was going to write about, and I went to add Axon (Taser) to the list only to realize I’d added it like a year ago. Good thinking, past me.
Roll Safe Good Think Meme

“You forget yourself” is a great phrase. Such a polite way to say, “Watch your mouth, you cocky bitch.” I love it so much.

This ain’t wrong. Gaston is staunchly anti-intellectual, prone to using disinformation to manipulate others around him for his own gain, and literally sees Belle’s own agency as an obstacle to be smashed through. You could throw a stone and hit a Gaston in the manosphere. Gaston ain’t shit.
Say what you will about Disney but long before Male Influencers were ever part of the public imagination they warned us about what a danger insecure aura farmers are to the community.
I want to learn how to make my own crochet patterns, but I don't even know where to start. I can follow patterns just fine, but making them is far beyond me.
I'm having a tough time determining copyright when it comes to reviewing games. Is it fine to use images from the game, or the title image of the game from its store page on Steam?
I spent so long playing a game last night that I think I sprained my wrist. Anyway, back to the game lol
Nobody disputes that having access to a car in a car-dominated society is good. It gives one access to jobs, healthcare, food, education, social opportunities and more. All we're asking is for people to go one step deeper and ask why access to such basic rights requires buying and operating a car.
I grew up in Jackson Heights in Queens and we still had a car, and our lives got measurably better when we did.
Congrats liberals! Y'all enemies & Stephen Miller's enemies are the same! The big bad scary leftists! Y'all can all set aside your differences & come together to gang up on us. Just recognize where you put your true allyship, liberals! With fascists. @indeedagem.blacksky.app
I got my last book box from my favorite book box ever. You created a profile with your interests and every three months, they’d send you a box with three books and a letter explaining why they chose them for you. I’m gonna miss it. I looked forward to it every time.
Lindsay Graham died before we knew for certain if Mitch McConnell is dead. I love that we have so many geriatric senators that multiple just die off at once. Jesus Christ, just fucking retire and die on the fucking beach somewhere instead of making us all miserable.
Lindsey Graham reminding us that this whole Mitch McConnell thing could have been an email
