Public pressure works. The Cornell 7 drugged and raped a student for seven hours. They offered her up for “free” to their entire frat house and the school made them write an essay about it. They must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Jane Doe’s courage will help secure justice:

District attorney reopens case of alleged Cornell University 'gang rape'

Prosecutors in central New York say they are reopening the case of alleged gang rape at a Cornell University fraternity.

Labour is not opening new safe routes. This latest measure is reopening a route they closed and making it more restrictive. This follows claiming they were opening new community sponsorship and work/study routes which already existed but they made harder to access. It's smoke and mirrors. #r4today

Talking about my struggles with being overweight still makes me uncomfortable, since weight can carry moral judgment in ways that other health challenges don't. But that fear stops too many struggling from getting treatment that could extend their lives.

Gov. JB Pritzker Reveals He’s Lost 80 Lbs. with GLP-1 After Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis (Exclusive)

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker tells PEOPLE that a GLP-1 has contributed to his 80-Lb. weight loss, but that he initially started taking it after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Some thoughts on legal AI… (a thread) I used to work for a NON-generative legal AI company, and I’ve published articles on legal AI and spoken at conferences about it. I'm not an expert in GENERATIVE AI, but I'm seeing the results of my clients using it. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/26/b...

As A.I. Makes Law Firms More Efficient, Clients Ask: ‘Where’s My Discount?’ (Gift Article)

There’s growing pressure to move beyond the billable hour. But big firms aren’t ready to blow up their trusted business model.

Since I've just seen an influencer, who usually has sense but is clueless when it comes to GLP-1s ... and I can't be arsed responding (again) 'cos I've bashed my head against enough brick walls... ... I thought I'd offer to answer questions about GLP-1s from my experience as a patient. Ask away.

Nope. The Australian government should stop attempting to manufacture consent for environmentally wasteful AI data centres used to attack Australian services with malware and steal the property of Australian creatives. Also they should learn what astro-turfing actually means.

Australian backlash to datacentres is faux import from US, officials say: ‘We are not the United States’

Pro-datacentre officials argue scale of Australia’s buildout is smaller, more regulated and less damaging than in US

I went walking in Para Wirra - just a stroll on well-signposted paths in a well-established park. It's beautiful, but I was struck by how easy it would be to get lost in on land that's not dense thick forest. And that made its way into FAR AS THE CROW FLIES Image: City of Playford #scriptsky

Hey #ScriptSky , what places inspire you to write? I’m always inspired by the different places I’ve been to, but I remember going here as a kid and immediately wanting to go home to write a story about it! Drop a pic of a place that has inspired your #Screenwriting!

A random 'what's going on in the garden' post. Snow peas are done: remaining pods are being left to set seed for next year. They'll go from being quite pretty to looking yellow and dead.

Snow pea (yukamo variety) in flower. The flowers are a classic 'pea' flower, but they're purple. Once pollinated they go blue as the pod starts to grow.

Ordered her to do so over her objection. And she did. And she still lost her job. And the consequences aren't over for her yet. I hope this is a lesson in ethics for other prosecutors and future law students.

Playing around with a short foray into puppetry. Tentatively titled DOG AND GOAT WAITING, in which Dog and Goat consider the nature of entrails, clothes lines and revenge. Except it's closer to justice, really.

EXT. BIG GRAVEL PIT - DAY
A wooden post part-way up the slope with GOAT (a puppet, more Feebles than Muppets and no doubt about the billy) tethered to it. One foreleg flops useless, almost detached.

Beside him DOG (a nervy wire-headed pointer, more a pup than a puppet) graws at a toy wishbone. She’s missing an eye.

Blood trails down the slope to a tarp slung over two lumps. Dog-sized and Goat-sized. This place isn’t strictly real.

Between gnawing at his tether...

GOAT
You think her entrails’d taste like a clothes line? ‘Cos I like clothes lines, and I reckon I could-

DOG (a nervy wire-haired pointer puppet, more of a pup than a puppet) looks up from her toy wishbone. She’s missing an eye.

DOG
You ate her clothes line?

GOAT
You see any clothes lines around here? She doesn’t even have one.
Ontological crisis for Dog. She chews her wishbone toy.

DOG
You can’t eat things that aren’t real. So how can you know what they taste like?

GOAT shrugs a complicated shrug. He’s a complicated goat.

GOAT
It’s a hypothetical clothesline.

Dog’s confused - and confused means nervous. But she tries.

DOG
What’s it taste like? Entrails?

GOAT
That’s what I asked you.

Goat looks sternly at Dog, who huddles down, whining quietly. She could pee herself.

Yep. There we go. Pee streams down the slope.

Shameless Self Promotion time once again, my pretties. Another #FirstPageFriday (or #FunPageFriday if that's how you roll) -- another chance to dazzle the species with some little sample of your brilliance. And always: remember this is intended for human efforts, so no AI. #ScriptSky

Fun Page Friday!

A reminder to fellow yarnists about ethical yarn bombing. 🧶 Do not take part in yarn bombing events unless they have a clear plan for disposition; ideally reworked for charity eg. blankets, scarves Do not yarn bomb living things eg. trees, it disrupts their ecosystem and access to light and air.

A yarn-bombed tree.
