Didn't realise Barbara Gordon Breakout was a 6 issue mini series. Which means that we're half way through it with very little happening, so I feel I have to ask the question, what was the point?

One of my favs Marvel villains.

One day, I will see Spider-Man and Daredevil team up in Liverpool action and see them get a team up ongoing title akin to Worlds Finest. One day.

There was a time when JMS writing anything Spider-Man would've got me picking up the issue. No chance these days, not even for #1000.

Captain America has a great trilogy and a meh 4th movie. Thor has two good ones and two bad ones. But Spidey is the only one with 4 bangers.

Watching Star Trek Next Gen "The Drumhead" and never has an episode of television been more relevant to what's happening right now. Love this episode btw, Trek at it's very best.

No spoilers here, but with the OMD of it all from No Way Home to Brand New Day, the movies have executed that storyline far better than the comics ever did. And I say this as a comics guy first always.

-- William Faulkner called "the human heart in conflict with itself." It's a very human story, emotional without being slow or dull or self-indulgent. It feels like stepping into a really good Spidey comic. Well done to all concerned (and even those unconcerned).

To be clear I've enjoyed all the Spider-Man movies. But for my money, this latest iteration feels most authentically Peter, and Spider-Man. So many comic movies have fallen into MacGuffin plots, looking for the code, the stone, the box, the sword...this one is all about what --

Just came back from the Marvel screener for #SpiderManBrandNewDay No spoilers. Loved it. Some people are calling it the "most grounded Spider-Man" movie of the current franchise. I can see that. To me, it was the Spider-Man movie that felt the most like a comic book brought to life.

The biggest compliment I can give to #SpiderManBrandNewDay is that it was like an actual issue come to life. I can't be specific because anything I say will be a spoiler, but this is, by a considerable distance, the best MCU movie I've seen since Endgame.

The problem isn't Doom, it's the Deux ex machina. For Thanos, it was the Infinity Stones & they were introduced throughout the whole of the Infinity saga. Doom's motivation is, presumably, some consequence of the multiverse which Marvel has half arsed. That's the real problem leading into Doomsday.

20 years ago today, this little rascal made his in canon debut and went on to be one half of the greatest Dynamic Duo in comics.

Nightwing's plummet from a main eventer to the midcard has been a painful one to watch. From an Eisner winning solo title to a painfully depressing solo book. From leading the DC Universe in 3 crossover events, to being a passenger in a B tier team book and barely mentioned in an ever expanding JLU.

I've not been the biggest fan of the current Nightwing run, but I swear to Lucifer if it ruins the Dick/Damian dynamic in any way shape or form, I'm done.

Absolute Professor Pyg is Joker's right hand man. I'm getting Fantasy Island Tattoo vibes except he's a psycho. And a human pig. Fucking love the Absolute Universe.
