The gag to the whole "being a master writer" is that it means absolutely nothing in the long term because you should always strive to keep your skills honed and to keep learning. And there are only 3 ways to do that: read, write, and get honest feedback. The learning never ends.

IMO the fund free lunches for all Seattle public school students was not about the students. They were the victims of Hollingsworth telegraphing herself as "the adult who makes hard choices" vs "irresponsible and naive" Mayor Wilson, so Hollingsworth can construct a record to run for Mayor in 2029.
Seattle is essentially a deep blue one-party town, so our political poles have mutated in an interesting way. We now have 2 parties: The "Cities Are Good, Actually, and We Can Have Nice Things" Party and the "Cities Are Bad, Actually and We Can't Afford Nice Things (Unless It's for the Cops)" Party

Granted, I may not be able to *prove* that reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula in a dimly-lit café in Prague on a rainy day whilst having cappuccinos and croissants exponentially improves mental well-being, but you're failing to acknowledge a very important point: You can't prove that it *doesn't*.
The first official parents made a big deal of it R-rated film was Speed. I was 11, and my brother was 9. But my bio dad showed me Alien when I was 4 because he knew I liked space shows like TNG. 🙄

I finally asked my mom (I couldn't remember), and she told me it was The Lost Boys when I was roughly the same age as my daughter (about 9). The movie traumatized her more than it did me, apparently
