There was a similar anecdote about Bob Homme, creator and main character of CBC's "The Friendly Giant". He didn't do in-person appearances as the character, and would hide from school groups touring the studios to preserve the illusion of the character.

He was hardly alone in behaving that way, it's not uncommon for people in his field. Steven Spielberg worked to ensure the child actors of "E.T." believed E.T. was real. Was he "crazy"?
I know I've said it before but I don't get your people's fascination with cats. You see them as "cute" and "cuddly", and all I get is sass and a general refusal to understand their role in the Melmacian diet.

Happy birthday to Bruce Horak, who played Chief Engineer Hemmer of the USS Enterprise on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Very Short Treks—and was a singing Klingon in SNW's "Subspace Rhapsody." In addition to being an actor, he's also a painter and visual artist.

Today I learned you can't put metal in the microwave. I also learned that if you do, they bring some of the fire trucks but not the big one like you hoped.

We are less than two months from the 40th anniversary of the premiere of my show on NBC. I'm sure you're all planning your parties and whatnot, although I'm concerned that I haven't received RSVPs in the mail. By the way, my answer is as always: it depends on what you're serving.
