Stuck on Earth with the humans. That's OK. I like humans. I like their cats better. Not the real ALF, just parody, all respect to Paul Fusco and Alien Productions. Mastodon: @theolalfer@tenforward.social Author's personal account: @john-pilgrim.bsky.social

Willie! We gotta get to the Pump 'n' Gulp to get me a lottery ticket! Sure, I'll buy you something. Whaddya want? A... hot dog? Willie, it's 8 o'clock at night. Even I wouldn't eat a hot dog still there now. And we're talking about me. ALF. Me, Willie. The ol' ALFer.

Willie! We gotta go down to the Pump 'n' Gulp to get a lottery ticket! Sure, I'll buy you a soda. What kind? How about a generic kind? You like Faygo? It's your new favorite. The blue one.

Willie, I've been thinking. Why do you people say 'two in the morning'? It's not morning. The sun isn't up. Shouldn't it be 'two in the blackest of nights'? It'd be less confusing.

Happy birthday to Bruce Horak, who played Chief Engineer Hemmer of the USS Enterprise on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Very Short Treks—and was a singing Klingon in SNW's "Subspace Rhapsody." In addition to being an actor, he's also a painter and visual artist.

ALFsplaining returns for Season 4 in September, but ahead of that we've been reading ALF's Summer Magazine from 1989 over at patreon.com/ALFsplainingExtra There's exciting things afoot this "fall", as we'll address the fact we've only got one season of ALF to go by expanding the House Of Splain!

A screengrab from the latest ALFsplaining patreon, showing the cover of the magazine we're reading and period images of Ben and John from 1989.

We are less than two months from the 40th anniversary of the premiere of my show on NBC. I'm sure you're all planning your parties and whatnot, although I'm concerned that I haven't received RSVPs in the mail. By the way, my answer is as always: it depends on what you're serving.

// Been giving this a little work: here is a list of TV shows and specials which have featured Paul Fusco as ALF. I can't claim it's complete, but with about 27 or 28 appearances it's certainly a start. (Have to edit my earlier graphic.)
