Good morning y'all, I've been quiet for a minute because I've been cooking up something real nice. Soft lauched last month, one of the only crop management apps on the market, let alone with this many features and opensource. Give it a try, more updates and release notes comming soon!

GrowGrid is built in the open. No walled garden. No lock-in. Every line of code is public and free. Built by farmers and devs who believe ag tools should belong to the community. Just soft launched. Try it today. growgrid.org #GrowGrid #OpenSource #AgTech

Another day, another Seattle sunset! With a surprise bonus! Definitely need to invest in a camera outside of my phone as I know I could do better with literally any physical zoom lens. Know anyone looking for a Technical Project Manager? Always open to new opportunities and making new connections!

White Washington State ferry docked at terminal during vibrant orange and yellow sunset over Puget Sound with the Olympic mountain range visible on horizonEmpty ferry terminal parking lot at sunset with white passenger ferry docked at pier, warm orange sky reflecting on calm water, Olympic mountains in distanceSeattle skyline at dusk with glass skyscrapers, including a triangular tower, rising above parking area with security booths and parked vehicles

This is such an important thread, it's entirely the reason I'm working to meld their Fairness testing into curriculum at my college. Even outside of that, it's Very important to be aware of bias when writing anything that affects people.

Harm reduction is only harm reduction if it reduces harm. You *cannot* reduce harm by addressing a symptom, you have to address the system. Otherwise you’re just moving the harm around and localizing it somewhere you won’t notice

pretty damn close to a 100% top-to-bottom bluesky-free bluesky ✅ indie pds (lots) ✅ indie relay (mine + others now!) ✅ indie jetstream (mine + many more (optional)) 🌀 indie appview (AppViewLite has some issues, @futur.blue's should work, more in progress) ✅ indie client (@aviva.gay's deer.social !)

alright the work is cut out AppViewLite's own web view works really well, but i can't get very far using its XRPC endpoints. seems like deer was doing everything right though!

screenshot of custom-appview.deer-social.pages with a full-screen error "Oh no! There was an unexpected issue in the application." the network pannel is open and filtered to app.bsky, and shows many 404 responses

So many projects right now, between Salesforce, College, and my own personal endeavors. Honestly hoping at least one of them can help network me a career continuing the tech I enjoy. Anyway, Heading to #LinuxFest tomorrow! Lots of exciting things to learn and discuss with #linux heads alike.

Combine this with ham radio internet and you've got the whole tech sphere we built running on yesterdays tech!

Just got this #LoRa node ($17, though you can get even cheaper ones) running #meshtastic. It sends encrypted text messages to other nodes nearby, for free! NO INTERNET, OR NO CELL COMPANIES NEEDED. Passed a message from #Bremerton to West #Seattle. Feels like advanced text message walkie talkies!

A hand holding a tiny LoRa module with an antenna, there is a LED display with some status messages.

Disruption and rebellion doesn’t always have to look violent, either. But when the laws are unjust, the people upholding the laws are unjust, then breaking the rules becomes necessary. What’s that statement everyone keeps saying? Oh yeah - good trouble. Do that.

Today is another reminder why statements like this are such an issue. Please think deeply about "the law" and the people that are seeking to uphold it. And the people that will work with police to "enforce" the law. The future belongs to the rule breakers. Disrupt. Rebel.

Thank you for sharing! What ultimately sucks the most is that the big 4 phone carriers are ALL here. So for as long as you use a cell phone within the US, you're supporting this bullshit. It's awful and highlights one of the many reasons the oligarchy needs toppled.
