Every time a man gets exposed for sexual abuse, a wave of angry abuse apologists (even some victims) jumps to defending him. Don't you believe people can change?! What do you expect him to do, die?! You're just bloodthirsty! You don't care about the victims (now leave my comfort rapist alone!)

"Your brains stop developing at age 25" was a press misrepresentation of a study. They wanted to see if brains continued to develop after adolescence, so the study was capped at age 25. A later study with a wider subject pool showed that brains are ALWAYS developing our whole lives.
thene@thene.bsky.social · 3w agothis is why it's my pet peeve fake science fact. It's absolute bs! nothing happens to brains at age 25, they do not "fully mature". you will notice that many societies have an age of majority or coming-of-age or whatever and none of them have ever chosen mid-20s.
