I have to stop buying cameras for a while, but I bought this because it came with the 55mm macro lens that partners with the 105mm I already have that came with my F3HP. Haven’t had time to do anything but put batteries in it. Hope to test later this week with a short roll. #BelieveInFilm

Donald Trump stands out historically in one way. He has demilitarized the US military more quickly than any other political leader in US history. A full blown pacifist would have struggled to throw away weapons faster than he has.
I love Ethiopian music. I have the entire Ethiopiques series that came out over the years in 30 CDs. One of the best musicians in that series is Mulatu Astatke, who melded jazz with traditional Ethiopian music. The result is amazing. The Guardian spoke to him recently.
‘Give respect to Africa and the bush people’: Mulatu Astatke on pioneering Ethio-jazz and honouring his roots
The musician faced resistance when he premiered his sound in the 60s, but audiences have fallen in love with it since. At 82, he’s still finding new directions – and wants more recognition for Africa’s indigenous artists

Trump: "Look at the blue cities. What do they have in common? They're all dirty. They're filthy dirty. Their streets are dirty. Their streets smell. Their storefronts are broken. Their trees are all gross. Everything about the place is dirty. It's really all of them."

Spent the morning making small #cyanotype prints from my 620, 120, and 35mm negatives using the Let’s Resin compact UV lamp, Jacquard Cyanotype kit, and Cason watercolor paper. Worked pretty well, though I learned a bit about what works and what doesn’t. Here’s a whole gallery of the good ones.
Tree Shot this on Saturday in the parking lot of a nearby strip mall. Leica M3, FPP Infrared Film shot at EI 6, R72 filter, Rodinal 1:25 for 9 minutes. #BelieveInFilm
It’s pictures. A roll of FPP Infrared, shot this weekend, mostly at a food truck festival yesterday. I underexposed the roll by one stop because EI 3 wasn’t hand holdable, but EI 6 was (barely) according to my meter. Developed for 9 minutes, 2 over suggested, in Rodinal 1:25. Hope they’re in focus.

Harvey & Joyce's adopted daughter Danielle is trying to raise funds to deal with Pekar's raw archive; basically four storage lockers full of notes, outlines, ideas, etc. Note this is not Pekar's comics per se. Those rights have been tied up in court for years. Long, ugly story. Worth backing.

I grew up in Kyiv, 10 mins away from Babi Yar. In 1941 Nazis told Jews to go to the ravine to check in and maybe get deported. September 29–30, 1941 almost 34,000 people were shot and dumped into the ravine instead.
Am told at the blue ash Ohio ICE office today that a bunch of springfield Haitians were told to just “check in” at are now having ankle monitors put on them, which, uh….. they’re not supposed to be fucking doing that
