Realized last night a lot of my inertia in creative projects (aside from long slow burnout recovery) is feeling massively overwhelmed. Treated myself to breakfast at the local cafe today and spent the morning breaking my goals + chores down into bite-sized things and putting them on a calendar.

Omg THANK YOU! I’ve seen so many bad takes on how it’s misogynistic because if they “did it right” it would be from Nikki’s point of view. Neglecting the fact that it’s meant to hold a mirror up to the people who need it the most. Can’t wait for the vid 👀

Do people not understand that if KOSA passes that every site will have the age verification thing? People saying they'll just go to IG or Threads or wherever lol. It's a bill we're against, we need to fight that or it won't matter where you go.

I keep seeing people thinking this is a bluesky problem. If you're seeing this it thinks you're in a state or country with age verification laws. This is what every social media site will do if KOSA and the KIDS Act succeeds. Running to another socmed won't fix it, we have to fight the source.

Not seeing Wish Nikki as a person reveals the failure to see women as full beings, especially those who are never given interiority. It is the kind of white feminism that ignores LGBTQ/poor/BIWOC who need access to health care. Only the women close enough to mirror your class are allowed to be real.

In Obsession, I would argue Wish & human Nikki are separate entities, but both are more victims than Bear. The mistake is reading Wish Nikki as the abuser of both, when she is Pygmalion’s statue: a woman made for desire with no interiority of her own, then blamed for the fantasy projected onto her.
