Liverpool & environs. I'm doing an event in Waterstones Liverpool on the 12th, again with Dr @thomasdlee.bsky.social , but also joined by @sarahreesbrennan.bsky.social Once again, attendance is mandatory. Thank you for your attention to this matter. www.waterstones.com/events/garet...

Me (bearded, with my book next too me), Tom (bearded, with his book next to him), Sarah (not bearded, but also with her book next to her).

I realise how much we have normalised companies charging guests for events where authors are the main attraction while simultaneously not finding it necessary to *pay* said main attraction, and I would like us to stop doing that.

It seems incredible that Burnham would throw away any so much goodwill by going against the Labour manifesto and announcing new oil fields before he's even taken office. The past few weeks have been a grim reminder that the planet is getting warmer. We can't afford a PM in the pocket of big oil.

Once again banging the drum for any Bathonians, Bristolians, or west country folk who want to hear me and Stark talk about dragons on Tuesday. Please do buy your tickets in advance, if you're thinking of coming!

PEOPLE OF THE SOUTHWEST. On Tuesday 21st of July I'll be in talking to @starkholborn.bsky.social at @mrbsemporium.bsky.social in Bath about my new book THE KNIGHT WATCH. Ticket sales are looking a bit thin on the ground at the moment so please share far and wide! mrbsemporium.com/events/2026/...

Huge thank you to everyone who came to Storytelling: Order Out of Chaos! Chaos was definitely the theme of the night from distracting doggos, Thomas D. Lee not understanding people saying their characters misbehave until he met Merlin & Sarah Rees Brennan revealing she longs for the Misery cage!

Today I got to sign a dog-eared and heavily annotated copy of Perilous Times whose owner is using it as a core text of her PhD research and let me tell you, you can keep your awards and your accolades and your big film deals. It was the best feeling in the world.

50 - The Knight Watch by Thomas D Lee This book is amazing!! Queer knights of the round table killing nazis, what more do you need? It's also got Isolde absolutely fed up with Tristan's nonsense, a nod or two to the Sword in the Stone and Agravain being a whole other level of aggravating!
