If I see that you are posting or reposting gen AI content I'm unlikely to say anything but I will immediately lose interest in striking up any kind of conversation, friendship, or working relationship. And I know I'm not the only one.

I’ve been trying to get some traction for my art over in Threds, but oof, that place is rampant with AI scammers. It’s making everyone paranoid, especially as several big-name artists in the book art community have been revealed as scammers. Is it real? Is it AI? is it cake? Who knows anymore!

Crazy looking at art from 50+ years ago when illustrators made enough money to rent a decent sized studio and hire live models with costumes for every illustration they made. I feel like I’m risking my whole business when I buy a $30 3d model to save myself some modeling time and meet my deadline.
