From the online info... The image shows the classic Plumeria flower: five overlapping petals with a strong yellow gradient at the center fading to white, with a faint pink tinge on the petal edges. The surrounding smooth, reddish stems and green leaves are also consistent with Plumeria.
Possible Lookalikes: Could be confused with other Plumeria species such as Plumeria alba, but the pink-tinged petal edges and yellow throat favor P. rubra.

This is a blossom of a Queen of the Night, an epiphytic member of the cactus family whose native range runs from Mexico to Nicaragua. Its name comes from its blossoms, which bloom in the evening, giving off a beautiful fragrance, only to wilt by morning. This image shows one such blossom backlit against a black background. The flower opens in the middle left, and its stem (still attached to the plant!) exits at middle right. From right to left, after the stem we first see the red, waving, tentacular leaves of the calyx, followed by glowing white petals with hints of pink and red, and then the center of the blossom with numerous yellow anthers and pistil with a an array of more tentacular extensions extending in a circle around the pistil opening. Anyone (including the photographer) seeing this for the first time would totally be forgiven for thinking it was an alien space monster.
