Ireland exceeded my expectations, return decades after going as a kid, lovely!

Caught this this evening on RTE1, on our holiday, actually in the Beara peninsula ourselves! The track to holiday cottage has a patch of Irish rainforest as well, where we saw a red squirrel, some amazing nature here

Was up in Leeds for asking for research money the other week. I'd been past on the train, but I'd not realised how grand Leeds city centre is. A big block seems to have escaped bombs and 60s town planners. Nice city, lucky Yorkshire people!

West Smethwick Park has been done up nicely. The Chance memorial is cool, you can still see the old Chance glass works from the canal or motorway, they made decorative patterned glass for e.g. Doors for around the world. Only annoying thing is the litter in the park, UK is grubby...
