Agree with this. And we need to develop the discipline not to dunk on other even inconsistently antifascist candidates/candidacies after we defeat them. Rubbing their nose in it is an expensive and risky way to indulge our worst instincts

I'll be disappointed if Stevens wins, but mostly what you should take away from tonight is that the coalition really is divided between factions with lots of genuine support, we can't wish the other side away, and we're all going to have to learn to live with each other if we want to win.

Call me an anarchist but I would prefer a world where anyone could arrest Benjamin Netanyahu, or any other unrepentant war criminal/mass murderer, assemble a trial of peers, and administer justice to the best of their capability. Better than one where we stand still as such a monster strides past.

Folks like this, I don’t understand. Piker wasn’t a Platner defender. If anything, he spent significant time defending his critics and accusers from skeptics. Do we just need someone to stab at? Is that how we’re defending our values?

Another really strong option for replacing Platner. I hope his movement can find a standard bearer who’s even more deserving than they thought Platner was.
